1. So far from what we know the Decoster project label is based to launching fashion brand of DECOSTER CONCEPT launched in 2010 Shanghai, China. Do you think it would develop as long term label and different from Decoster, not just one shot.
decoster concept는 2010년 중국 상하이를 베이스로 런칭한 패션브랜드 decoster의 프로젝트 레이블로 알고 있다. 일회성이 아닌, decoster와는 다른 장기적인 레이블로 성장하게 될까?
= DECOSTERCONCEPT is a brand new project which can express our ideas, has men’s wear, women’s wear and accessory line; of course it will be a long term project.
- Decoster Concept 은 새로운 브랜드를 위한 프로젝트에요. 우리의 생각, 아이디어를 표현하며 남성 의료, 여성의료 그리고 액세서리를 포함하고 있죠. 당연히 장기적인 프로젝트입니다.
2. DECOSTER performed for about more than 10 years yet it is not just a light fashion brand in China. Can you introduce about Decoster.
decoster는 벌써 십 년 이상 활동을 이어온 결코 가볍지 않은 중국의 패션 브랜드이다. decoster에 대해서도 간단히 소개해줄 수 있다면 좋겠다.
- DECOSTER is a brand which has ten years history, has over 70 stores in China; it’s a little bit commercial.
- Decoster 10년의 역사가 있는 브랜드입니다. 중국에만 해도 70개의 지점이 있고 조금은
상업적입니다.
3. I heard the members of Decoster visited Paris, France last full week (January 16-22) is that for vacation or business?
지난 한 주간(1월 16~22일 전후) 프랑스 파리로decoster의 멤버들이 찾아갔다고 들었다. 휴가 차 들린 건가 아니면 비즈니스를 위해?
- We have been invited to Paris by some showrooms and stores after we had our first show in Shanghai, so we think it’s better let them see the latest collection.
- 저희는 파리에서부터 어떤 쇼룸 그리고 스토어들에 초청을 받았습니다. 상하이에서 첫 쇼를 했어요. 어떻게 보면 가장 최근 컬렉션이죠.
4. Can you tell us about Designers and staffs of decoster concept?
decoster concept의 디자이너, 스탭에 대해 얘기해주겠어요?
- Our designer is Ziggy Chen, he’s also the owner of Decoster. I’m Kian Zhang, press manager of DECOSTERCONCEPT, just back to join the team from
- 저희 디자이너는 Ziggy Chen 이고 동시에 DECOSTER의 대표이기도 해요. 그리고 저는 Kian Zhang. DECOSTER CONCEPT 의 프레스 매니저 입니다. 런던에서부터 팀에 합류하기 위해 왔어요.
5. We saw Decoster concept 2012 SS season collection through video. It was amusing. We want to hear about this year theme.
decoster concept의 이번 2012ss 시즌 컬렉션쇼를 영상을 통해 접할 수 있었다. 굉장히 흥미로웠다. 이번 테마에 대한 얘기를 듣고 싶다.
- The inspiration of the Spring/Summer 2012 collection draws from the lives of the people who have walked this world in the last century.
- 봄/여름 컬렉션 영감은 지난 100년세기의 걸어온 사람들의 삶입니다.
6. China have preserved marks of history and brought to present. Decoster concept feels like a collage wherein the China's history and the present met.
중국은 오랜 역사의 흔적을 현대에 이르기까지 보전해왔다. decoster concept는 바로 이러한 중국의 역사와 현대가 만난 콜라주처럼 느껴졌다. 앞으로도 계속 이러한 늬앙스의 작업이 전개되는 건가?
- We do have many inspirations from old Chinese culture. We plan to do the Chinese traditional garments but in a modern way.
- 저희는 오래된 중국 문화로부터 영감을 얻었습니다. 현대적인 방법으로 중국 전통 의류를 만들 계획입니다.
7. China as foundation, performing as a fashion designer, what it means is that for you?
중국을 기반으로 패션디자이너가 활동한다는 것, 여러분에겐 어떤 의미가 있는가.
- China is a huge market, and we know it very well, it’s perfect for us to let it be our foundation, then we can go to hit the western market.
- 중국은 큰 시장입니다 우리도 그걸 잘 알고 있습니다. 그리고 중국을 기반으로 하는 것이 완벽하다 생각합니다, 후로 서부 시장을 공략할 것입니다.
8. There is a short of information about China's fashion design brand not just in European but also in Asia sphere. Today how is the performing boundary (market range) of Decoster? We hope to see Decoster concept collection in Korea too.
사실 유럽권 뿐 아니라 아시아권에서조차 중국의 패션디자인 브랜드에 대한 정보가 부족하다. 현재 decoster의 활동 범위(시장 범위)는 어떠한가. 한국에서도 decoster concept의 컬렉션을 만나볼 수 있다면 좋겠다.
- Actually we do have some good designers in China, like Uma wang, and Kim Kiroic who is doing shoes for JUUN.J. We have confident to do the Chinese market, but for the western fashion world, we need to get more experience and find our own style.
- 중국에 훌륭한 디자이너들이 있습니다. 예를 들어 Uma wang 그리고 Kim Kiroic- JUUN.J 위해 현재 신발을 만들고 있습니다. 중국 시장은 자신이 있습니다 그렇지만 서부 패션 세계 에서는 좀 더 많은 경험이 필요로 하고 저희 만에 스타일 찾아야 합니다.
9. For this 2012 what plans do you have and would do a move for Decoster concept?
오는 2012년 한 해 동안 decoster concept는 어떤 계획을 가지고 움직이게 되는가.
- In 2012, we plan to cooperate with a showroom in Paris; buyers can find our SS13 collection in there.
- 2012 년도에는 파리에서 쇼룸을 협력할 계획입니다. 구매자분 들은 거기에서 저희의 SS13 컬렉션을 보실 수 있습니다.
